Let's Party!

Today was Zachary's birthday party! In the morning, on the way home from picking up tea, I surprised Zachary with a stop at one of the local fire-houses. the fire trucks were outside and so were a few of the firemen, so I thought we'd stop quick and say hi. The firemen were all so friendly, they explained all the parts of the fire truck, and even let Zach get in and "drive" the fire truck. He also got to get in the back of an ambulance. A trip to see the fire truck that I thought was going to last 5 minutes, turned out to be more than a half hour! The fireman gave Zachary a book about Clifford the Big Red Dog being a firefighter and also stickers for him and all the kids to wear for his party. Afterward, we had a full house of people over to enjoy hot dogs, cake and ice cream and a bounce house! The kids (and even some of the adults!) jumped, and jumed and jumped! They didn't come and pick up the bounce house until almost 11:00, so Mommy, Daddy and Zachary got a lot of extra bounce time.
